Why do we need you?

Following a recent merger, the company is continuing to grow and is now looking to recruit additional talent to support its operational center in Brussels. HR-Specialist is collaborating closely with the company to fill these key positions.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety and regular maintenance of train circuits (rolling stock) to guarantee optimal operation.

  • Develop and implement a strategic maintenance plan to prevent breakdowns and minimize service interruptions, accounting for unforeseen issues.

  • Collaborate closely with maintenance depots in France, Belgium, and England to coordinate activities and ensure the availability of necessary parts.

  • Monitor ongoing maintenance work and ensure trains are back in service within scheduled deadlines.

  • Effectively plan transport operations, ensuring coverage of the transport plan while anticipating maintenance needs to avoid disruptions.

  • In case of difficulties or delays in maintenance work, promptly communicate with the manager to find appropriate solutions and minimize operational impacts.

Team Structure:

You will work within a team of 14 fleet controllers, in pairs for each shift. The work schedule is divided into three shifts: 6 AM–2 PM, 2 PM–10 PM, and 10 PM–6 AM.

Not a fit if:

  • You are not ready to work in shifts (6 AM–2 PM, 2 PM–10 PM, and 10 PM–6 AM).

  • You are not fluent in English (minimum B2 level) as communication with centers in England is required. Knowledge of Dutch or German is an additional asset.

Apply if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s of Master degree, ideally in mechanics, electromechanics, or a technical field.

  • Proficiency in French and English.

  • Experience in maintenance, especially in the transport sector, is a plus.

  • Proactive mindset and strong prioritization skills.

  • The ability to manage priorities and handle stress in challenging situations are essential assets.
